The panels are manufactured over suitable frame by connecting galvanized 8.00mm diameter 49-strand steel ropes (type AZn 707); the resulting net will be tensioned until the mesh assumes a rhomboid shape, with a side measuring 150.00 mm. The mesh nodes are locked by aluminium alloy sleeves suitably pressed. Main features:
The rope panels are able to absorb considerable energy caused by falling boulders, as in the rockfall barrier version. Forces acting on the panel are delivered to the perimeter rope and, from the latter to structural anchors, in active soil protection systems – i.e. deep foundation ground anchors – after triggering the dampers. The types of ropes employed are in galvanized steel and standard-compliant with UNI UNI 7292-74 with individual wire class of 180 N/mm2 e 200 N/mm2. To blend into their enviroment, metal components, panels and ropes can be painted in various shades of green. |
