Artigiana Costruzioni operates in the field of ground defence systems since the mid-80s through the design and manufacture of innovative, reliable and fitting structures, together with ancillary hardware required for the manufacture of its range of barriers and other ground defence systems.
The Company’s headquarters at Villa di Tirano, Sondrio, Italy cover a surface of about 2500 sq.metres divided into three distinct areas: the manufacturing plant for steel ropes and metal components, which occupies 1500 sq.metres, the office block, the warehouse , the loading/unloading bays for raw materials and finished products. 
Systems and accessories are manufactured using the latest machine tools to ensure the necessary volumes and the high standard of quality.  The fully equipped workshop, with wire rope presses (4÷26mm in diameter), NC rope cutting machines, panel assembly frames, welding machines, shears, straighteners etc., cares for all aspects of manufacture.  The Company’s production team comprises highly trained design engineers and production operatives able to assure a very high standard of manufacture to very exacting deadlines.

Artigiana Costruzioni operates under ISO 9001:2000 quality standard, as issued by the IMQ/CSQ certification body which, as the Italian IQNet representative, comes under CISQ.

Additionally we produce steel strand stays, uplift stays in any diameter, length or type of rope, complete with all ancillary products such as eyebolts, shackles, hooks, clamps etc. 
Our rockfall barriers are tested in the field under real-life conditions and, for such purpose, we use an old disused quarry and the instructions and specifications in force.
