Galvanized steel ropes
The galvanized steel rope is the first and most important component in the construction of rockfall protection panels and nets.
Each individual product, whether it is used to consolidate rock faces or as rockfall barriers, stays or anchoring means is made using specific types of ropes of different characteristics of strength, diameter and composition, and however ideal for the type of product to build.

Each type of rope comes with a certificate that guarantees the characteristics of strength and the construction procedures.
Flexible looped anchor stays with protected eye and bolts
All the structures installed on a rock face or slope are fastened by means of suitable wire-rope anchors or bolts of various lengths and diameters.
The same can be said of rockfall barriers, made with guy ropes fastened to anchoring means of suitable size.
The flexible anchoring means, made from galvanized wire rope with metal core, or of twisted or spiroid type, come in different lengths depending on the required applications, based on the stresses they are expected to withstand and on the type of terrain. They may be made of single or double twisted rope, with an eye loop at the end provided with a suitable reinforcing thimble and closed with a suitably clamped sleeve of aluminium alloy.
The anchor bolts are generally made of Feb44(k) steel or high-strength steel.
The former come in lengths from 0.50 to 0.60 m (if necessary joined with a threaded sleeve) and up to 26 mm in diameter. They are normally threaded at one end for about 8 or 10 cm so that a suitable rope holding accessory (galvanized eye) can be applied, and they are used where the rock (even if broken) or the rock slope is not severely fractured or detached (passive anchorage).
In the case of particularly serious conditions of the rock layer or of large detached masses, the anchor bolts can be made longer, based on design requirements, using special high-strength post-tensioning steel bars (active anchorage).
All the anchors of bolt type are provided with specific accessories, such as steel plates, fastening nuts and eyebolts. The separate pieces can be joined by means of suitable coupling sleeves.
Another type of anchor, used mainly to anchor the foundations of rockfall barriers, is the spiroid double-rope anchor with a protected eye loop.
Accessories
The accessories are fundamental components in active and passive slope protection structures, as well as in rockfall barriers.
For each type of stay, anchor, guy rope, brace, panel, etc., there is a complete range of accessories, such as eyebolts, clamps, thimbles, sleeves, etc.
